I've spent the last hour checking the forum but couldn't find anything here on this. But if this had been discussed pls point me to the right thread.

The issue is that i don't have any option to use the fingerprint scanner with PayPal. I've also checked the PayPal page and saw the below SS.

My problem is I can't see the PayPal app under my fingerprint settings. I installed the PayPal app myself from the play store.

Is this correct? Or is it bcos I've a no branding version with minimum bloat?

I think it might be unique to your version of the Note.

I own the Sprint version and the PayPal option is there (although I don't use it).

My Verizon phone has this as well. If you click on the "Pay with PayPal", you get another page indicating you need to install "Fido Ready" to pay with PayPal and registered fingerprints.

Thanks guys.... That's logical. It seem my version of TW doesn't have this option.
Is there anyone else missing this feature in their N4?.

Mine is carrier free, built in Vietnam and a CSC from Hungary ( don't know if this help).

Szia naira1. Try putting in airplane mode, turning on WiFi and restarting, that way you're not network dependent. I have friends in Budapest who do that a lot. My phone when I lived there was a Nokia 3300.

I will try that and report back although I highly doubt that's the reason why I can't see the app like others could.

The playstore version of PayPal now supports fingerprint scanner. In order to get the functionality, you either have to download through Galaxy Apps or update through playstore.

See bertserkin's comment above. I just followed his instructions and voila! Once you've completed that process, go into the PayPal app, log in the normal way, go to settings, tap Login Options, and you should see an option to enable fingerprint login. Tap on that, then you should be set. To check, log out of PP, then choose log in. Scan your print and voila!

The thing is I can't even see the PayPal app to click "pay with PayPal". The only way I can start the app is to go directly into it from my app drawer. I've even installed the current version again.

But the only option is to login with email and password.

How can i get the Fido app? Looked in playstore save there are many app with the name fido on it.

Lastly could it be that the PayPal only works in the USA with the finger print scanner?

I've got the PayPal app in UK and can log in to it with fingerprint but if I buy something on eBay it wants me to type in PayPal password even though PayPal app is open and logged in. Am I missing some setting that will link it?

Can you take pics of your note 4 front to see front facing cam and the back? And where exactly did you get your note from? Reason I'm asking is, there's other people on here that have note 4s "made from Vietnam", and they were counterfeit, they bought fake ones online and didn't know until they compared it side by side with store bought ones. I use the fingerprint scanner every time I go in the app, so I'm curious to see if you got the right note. Also take a pic of the back of the box, the sleeve with the writing on it. Thanks, mine has "made in China"on it. I could be wrong, but you should have that feature on your note 4

Genrerally the US versions go like this:
T-Mobile and Sprint - Vietnam
Verizon - China
AT&T - Korea
If yours is different, suspect a counterfeit.

Good Luck!
