I think my proximity sensor may be bad. My smart stay will not keep the screen on while I am looking at it, however it turns the screen off when I have the phone to my ear and turns it back on when I pull the phone away from my ear. Any ideas???

Isn't that exactly what the proximity sensor is supposed to do?
It turns off the display when you have it at your ear, since it can't be see anyway, and would just be draining the battery. And it locks the touch screen so your ear doesn't touch the buttons.

Ok so I just tried it again. It apparently only works in very well lit areas.
