Screen rotation for pictures only?

So I have always kept screen rotation turned on because sometimes it is handy to have that feature ready to go. But it seems that recently the rotation is happening way too often when I barely even tilt the screen and with some apps it is difficult to get it to rotate back. I finally just turned off screen rotation because it really annoyed me today. But now if I look at a picture that I took horizontally, it will not rotate to fit the screen properly.

Is there any way to turn on the screen rotation just to work for the gallery??

I suppose you could do it with Tasker or apps like IFTTT (not sure about the latter though), where you can set a rule to turn rotation on when you open the Gallery app, and to turn it off when you exit the app.
