I had never gotten this addicted to downloading all the well reviewed android apps and testing out their features to see how I can improve the quality of time spent with my Note 4. I am discovering functionalities that I couldn't even dare dream of earlier! All thanks to Note 4, I must say. I now fully understand what 'smart' in the smartphone means.

What with all this multitude of apps, I am worried that I will not exactly remember which app does what by just looking at the app icon! Is there an app to keep track of downloaded apps' functionalities, i.e. Summary of features?

    Thanks!
(Not quite sure if this is the right place to post this!)

There probably isn't, but you can use a spreadsheet or a generic database app until you can learn to write a specific database app to do it.

I use an app called apps organizer:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...rganizer&hl=en

to organize my apps with labels. I use the widgets associated with the app in lieu of folders. I like it because I can export its settings and then take that export file to another Android device to use the same settings.

What phone did you have before the Note 4?

You are correct, these smartphones really are incredible.

A recent History Channel show rated the top 101 gadgets of all time that changed the world. (http://www.popularmechanics.com/tech...-world#slide-1)

#1 was the smartphone. I laughed when I heard it. How could it be better, more world changing than a light bulb, TV, radio...duct tape?

But then I made a list of all the things I can do with my smartphone and do you know what, it can do several of the things that made the top 101 list. I came up with 70+ things. Some of them might surprise you. I even made the list on my smartphone.

That's pretty incredible when you think about it. All these things on a single device that fits into your pocket. Does that qualify it to be the #1 world changing device of all time? The more I think about it, I think so.

    Check out the list here:

I think that Rukbat's suggestion of a spreadsheet is the best idea. I highly recommend using Google Sheets ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...editors.sheets) which is part of the Google Docs suite (a free competitor to Microsoft Office suite).

The convenient part about doing this is that you can access/update your spreadsheet on your phone, on your computer (Mac, PC, Linux, Chromebook), or your tablet, etc. That way you can do very fast data entry on your computer and then make additional updates on your phone as you periodically add new apps or discover new/awesome features in an app.

Just login to http://drive.google.com and see the exact same data as on your phone. You can even update the same spreadsheet on both at the same time.

If you get really adventurous, you can share your spreadsheet with others (in read-only mode or update mode).

Looks like the link above does not work anymore. Here's the 90 minute YouTube TV show I watched.
