I am currently using a 32gb Scandisk memory card. I am thinking about switching to a Samsung Evo 64gb. Does anyone have any experience with this card?

I have the 128GB Samsung EVO card and don't have any issues with it. The Samsung EVO cards are popular choices for Samsung phones and some people swear they are better than comparable SanDisk cards though I haven't seen that, having using multitudes of SanDisk cards on a number of devices over the years.

I just changed yesterday to Evo from the Adata ( 64 gb), that's the only one they had in the shop at the time of buying phone.
I had few problems with Adata card, mainly with media kept draining battery out of sudden then calmed down for few days, heard Samsung card works best so giving it a go, I transferred everything from my old card to Evo and Gave it a while to scan for media and since then it is fine, No media draining battery.

Hope it stays same, It was already formatted to exfat, i formatted again first on PC and then on phone, then transferred everything over.

I am using a 64 gb evo one and haven't had one problem, while the previous two Sandisk ones failed miserably within weeks. Stay away from Sandisk all I can say.

A shame. I thought San disc was like the best brand ever.

Not in my experience. I even complained to Sandisk, they sent me a replacement with no questions asked and that failed too. Will never touch Sandisk ever again. Samsung card I originally had in my S4 is still perfectly fine and I use it a lot.

I put a 64gb evo in my phone this week. Transfered all of my movies, pics, and music to it. At first it kept telling me it couldn't find the movies. Then i got a notification saying rhe card failed and to reformat it. I didn't even get 2 seconds to do anything and it erased all of my stuff that was on it. It was aparently a defective card and I lost most of my stuff.

Where did you get it from? Apparently there a lot of fakes, Samsung is one of the worst at being copied. Like I said earlier I don't have a problem with mine, didn't even have to format it, it was already in exFAT. I just put it in and it worked.

If it wasn't from a third party seller on Amazon than it's probably OK, if it was I would be a bit more suspicious. But good luck with the replacement. Let us all know how you get on.

Are you talking about the fake Sandisks? I have a Sandisk 128gb without any problem.

No, genuine ones. Maybe they have improved these days but a year or so ago I had no luck with Sandisk.

Unfortunately it is getting more difficult to tell what is a fake and what is a real thing as the manufacturing of copies is becoming so sophisticated. When I got a fake once from a third party seller on Amazon the packaging was a give away, just did not look right to me and had spelling mistakes. I think the only way to make sure you have a genuine card is to buy it from a reputable source, definitely not on auction sites.

I have a purchased a fake in the past. Got it from eBay. Was very disappointed. But should have known that you couldn't buy 128 GB card for under $50. Went to BestBuy and got a legit one and no problems.

If I had to guess, I would say it's fake. The card itself looks more red rather than orange with Samsung's logo on it looking a bit odd. On the back of the packaging on the right hand side where it's printed in grey "micro SDHC" should say "SDXC" if it's 64GB. Also mine says 10 year limited warranty not 5. But of course I could be wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me if I am.

The card is actually orange. When I google the packaging it looks the same as what I am finding online

OK, but I still can't understand why on the back of yours it says SDXC on the left and SDHC on the right and only 5 year warranty. But as long as the card works fine in your phone then that's all that matters.
