I'm not putting Lollipop on my precious Note 4 for a while after its available... Perhaps a month. Someone else's phone can be a guinea pig.

I'm going a step further and NEVER putting Lollipop on my Note 4 (not a fan of Material Design and so far it runs like a champ as is on KitKat! If it ain't broke... ). I'll look for a newer version of Android on the Note 5.

As such to kill getting any OTA update and its notice nag I used this from XDA (worked like a charm!):

There will be new features like trusted places or Bluetooth authentication, built-in encryption and possibly better battery life.

I'm hoping they might improve things too like maybe add more functionality to S View.

I hope so. I hope Smmy doesn't drop buggy software to replace what is currently working quite well.

My experience with Lollipop on the Nexus 5 and 6 has not been a good one. Lots of minor bugs, reboots, battery life issues, etc. I'm hoping some of the issues are taken care of since I'm going to a Note 4 for my next phone. I'm starting to think there's something to a non-stock phone - at least you won't be a beta tester for new buggy software.

I'll be joining many others...in not getting the update right away. I'll let everyone else blaze that path.

My phone works great for what I need it to do, and the battery life is spectacular. Why risk all that to be part of the bleeding edge crowd?
