Change default lock screen?

I'm required to use Air Watch email client for work which requires administrative permission for a lock screen.
Is there a way though to change the default application lock screen on the phone? When I try to download a lock screen app it just acts as a second lock screen.

I have Air Watch as well but I only see the Air Watch lock screen when I turn on the phone. I still need to have a Lock Screen that requires a password when my screen goes off but it is one I can customise how I want. If you need to constantly use the Air Watch lock screen it may be due to how your administrator wants it set up. It is not the nicest of phone interfaces and is not obvious to me how / if you could change it, I can live with though given I just need to use it once a day for a few seconds.

Please post if you do find a solution elsewhere.

Have you tried nils floating widget? It overlays your current lock screen with notifications.
