power saving works and doesn't intrude.

I'm trying out power saving mode and I'm a power user and my battery life is just even more powerful now. I'm barely on 60% and I already have over 3hrs of SOT time :) This phone is a beast.

It can restrict background data
It can restrict cpu performance, screen timeout, turn off all locations settings
And more. At least the options can be juggled to some extent.

3.5 hrs of use and you are down to 57% !! Wow! Ok I know u use ur phone a LOT as u said, but to me I think that's still terrible battery life after having power saving mode on.

When u say a LOT, what do you mean? what r u doing with your phone during this time if u don't mind sharing?

This is my phone right now at 6% Screenshot_2015-02-17-23-32-02.jpg and I posted another pic of the four different options for power saving mode Screenshot_2015-02-17-23-31-46.jpg

I am usually over a day use with 6% charge left...and NO power saving mode.
But then I don't describe myself as a "heavy" user...My use is moderate @ best.

But I guess with Heavy use that battery life is ok...I read earlier on this forum that with heavy use battery life should be around 12hrs on this phone!

His post and screenshots show 14.5 hours on battery and 6.5 hours of screen on time with 6% battery left. Sounds decent, but not great to me. I'm getting similar usage from mine without power saving mode. I misread the screenshot at first.

Wow! I would be lucky to have 5 hours and 30 mins of screen on time with power saving mode on.
(Max I got was 5 hours 23 mins in 18 hours with perfect signal)

I've seen someone on here get 8plus hours of sot, that's crazy. I wish I could get battery life like that but I'm happy with the 6hours I get, as long as the battery lasts me all day I'm good. And I use my phone for everything videos email messaging reading etc.

And I decided to use it extensively with power saving on until it reaches 70%. What do you think folks? :)

Terrible battery life? On what planet? 6 plus hours of SOT is great battery life. This is on track to get over 7.

Its only felt warm like once or twice but usually it'll just cool down on its own. It's like a laptop they get hot and they need space to breathe. But not too hot where I would be worried. I consider warm normal

I was thinking more of just in terms of how long u can run on that battery without having to plug it in. No more in terms of SOT. But it's ok I now get the concept!
