S Planner doesn't mark appointments as "out of office"

Hi, I've found that if I set the "show as" setting on a new appointment as "out of office" (as opposed to busy or free) when I view the same appointment in outlook on my work computer, the appointment just shows as busy. It's somehow not translating the setting properly to the exchange server. Anyone else setting this and any ideas how I go about fixing it please?
