Note 4 + Lollipop + Encryption = PIN or Password required?

Hi,

With KitKat we had to use password. Which is totally not convenient.
Has this changed in Lollipop?

Do we still have to use long password instead of PIN when encryption is enabled?

Just go to the encryption setting, it says right there, must be 6 characters long, and should have one number.

Hello can someone confirm if you can use a PIN to unlock an encrypted phone? galaxy s5 forces you to use password or fingerprint... this is very annoying
