    Hi all,

Just baught a Kingston 128gb micro sd card for music and pics etc, should I be seeing a significant battery usage after installation.

I have re - formatted and put everything back on it but you can nearly watch the battery going down.

That usually means there's a corrupt media file somewhere on the card. It causes the system's Media Scanner to get stuck on that file, scanning it over and over again, which increases CPU usage and causes battery drain.

Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and insert it into your computer. Run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...d-sd-card.html

Also, make sure the card is what it says it is, since counterfeits are still a problem. Run SD Insight.
