Magnets and S Pen
I use one of the wallet/portfolio type cases for my Note 4. It has a cover which opens like a book and closes over the face of the device, with a penny size magnet on the cover and on the latch to close it tight.
I've noticed that the S Pen will not work on that part of the screen where the magnet sits if I bend the cover of the case over the back of the device. When I hold the flap open and away from the face of the device, as if reading a book, the S Pen works fine.
Careful with magnetized cases when you use the S Pen. They'll disrupt your Note screen when you've got your notepad out.

Re: Magnets and S Pen
Strange since, AFAIK, the pen is electric, not electromagnetic (like NFC). Maybe someone with a lot more knowledge of theoretical physics than I have can figure out what's happening.
