I loved nova on my S5 and have tried a handful of different launcher (all the free versions FYI nothing paid for yet) and I keep finding myself going back to TouchWiz. Every theme in every launcher seems to cartoony or something, and it drives me insane. No matter what widgets/transitions/theme/etc I can't find one i like for the life of me. Icon size on some is just ridiculous too, maybe it's just me on that. TW doesn't seem nearly as clunky as it did on my S5, but I'd still like to try something else. But so far I haven't had much of an issue with it so I've stuck with it.

If anyone has any screen shots they can provide to show different themes with different launchers I'd greatly appreciate it :D

Cheers

this is what i use, one of the free themes for smart launcher 2. i've been using it for a little over a month and really like it so far.

the "flower" grows automatically depending on how many bubbles you want, and then the app drawer auto-organizes itself. i'll probably go back to nova or something else that's more traditional soon just for kicks, but this is a pretty decent option imo!

I've used Nova and Apex but I always return to TouchWiz. Probably one of the few people who stick to TouchWiz.

I just upgraded to the s6 edge and I'm using TouchWiz. I was using KK launcher with the premium features enabled on my Nexus 5 prior to this and it was amazing. I was not on lollipop on my Nexus 5 by the way.

I am EXTREME minimalist. I use 500px beautiful wallpaper that changes every 5 minutes. I wanted nothing to block the wallpaper when I turned on the phone or waved my hand over it in a meeting. I use Apex and my main screen has NO icons and no notification bar at the top. I eventually added the time, date and battery percentage at the top using Zooper Widget. But, that's it.

Nova launcher Premium. Very simple look with no additional themes. Way better than touchwize.

I really like Nova launcher. I have the premium version. With Nova you can make the home screens as sparse and minimal or is filled up as you'd like.

For a practical minimalistic screen you can use Nova gestures (only with the Prime version). This way an almost empty screen will open some apps or perform different activities. With Nova you can also define two different action for the same icon. For example. Tap on an icon and it will open the folder, swipe up it will open the most used app in it.

Another great app is Zooper Widgets. Create your widget and define "on tap actions" for any module. In my screenshot the clock has 5 different actions on depending where you tap (battery stats with Gsam, open calendar, set alarm, tide table, widget settings).

@Javier P: I like this alot. How did you create the dock row (contains small icons for phone, settings, app drawer shortcut, play store, gallery)? Is this a specific icon set in Nova Prime?

I have Nova Prime but not sure how to replicate this row... can you offer guidance?
