    Hi,
I'm wondering if I use an internet service, like cellunlocker to unlock my phone from carrier, will it void something, like warranty or else? I'm on contract. I think I'm ok from what I red but I just want to make sure with you, experts out there.

    Thanks!

On contract with whom? If your account is in good standing, just call your carrier and say "I want my phone unlocked" and they should do it for free.

No warranties voided, no shady deals with unknown sellers, no nothing.

I think most carriers just ask that you have been in good standing with them for 6 months and your bills are paid up.

I'm about to do it so I can see about a local SIM for when I travel to Canada in a few months.

I'm in Canada, it's a whole different world here... They don't do it for free. CRTC now forces companies to not charge more than 50$, so I'll let you guess how much they charge?
I found Cellunlocker that do it for 20$... It's less than half the price.
