This is the response I received from Samsung

<<Dear Janet,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Samsung Technical Support. We always appreciate hearing from our customers.

It must be inconvenient as you are experiencing multiple issues on your Galaxy Note 4 like battery draining, application lag and Contacts are not getting sync with Car after the Lollipop update. I will assist you with all the possible options.

Thank you for bringing your concern to our notice. I appreciate your efforts in isolating the issue by performing Factory reset.

As the issue persists even after resetting the device to its Factory default settings, we request you to send the device to our service center for physical evaluation.

All devices sent in for the repair go through a full reset and re-flash. Device content is deleted including: photos, videos, messages, data files, music, etc. Please back up the data by following below steps.

Please download and install Kies 3 on your PC from below link:

You can find the details to back up and restore data in below link.

Samsung provides 12 months of warranty to its devices from the date of purchase. Physical and liquid damages are not covered under Samsung warranty. Please refer the below web link for detailed information on Samsung warranty policy.

We will bring the device in for evaluation, and the repair technician will determine if the cause of damage is due to defect or an external source. So yeah, this is not happening. I have warranty service with Verizon. I would use that first before I sent off my phone for 10 days. And why can't Samsung admit it needs to push out bug fixes??

I disagree using Verizon over Samsung.

I've had experience with Samsung and doing this.

First, they won't simply reflash the OS, they will completely remove the OS, install the OS again, not do an update. Also it will go through quality control before it comes out.

I had to send my Note 3 in for overheating. They found the motherboard was bad, replaced it. It didn't pass QC, they replaced the motherboard again, passed QC, sent back to me and never a problem again.

NO carrier can do this type diagnostic or repair. They will only give you a pre-used replacement, they do not give you a brand new phone. It is basically a refurbished phone and Samsung never, ever ok's refurbs.

I like all the new Lollipop features, at least the ones we got, and I would not downgrade to Kit Kat but there are some Lollipop issues in need of a fix.

My contacts no longer sync to my vehicle. I tried disabling the stock app and for a minute they transferred using a third party app, but it was for just a minute. The following day they would no longer transfer. Some people do not have this problem with their contacts since Lollipop but many are experiencing this Bluetooth issue.

The battery does drain a bit faster, even after a factory reset. For me, not a tremendous amount, but it is noticeable.

The phone was quite snappy after the factory reset, but now it is experiencing some lag.

A lot of people are experiencing these issues and hopefully soon there will be a fix.

Reverse here... on kitkat I was forever having to reconnect and search for my phone to connect to my Bluetooth Alpine unit in my vehicle but on lollipop I get in my van activate Bluetooth on the phone, switch the unit on and sorted. Connects straight away all the time.

I came here hoping someone found some fixes for lollipop. My experience has been increased lag with all apps, apps like contacts crashing, annoyed at how they minimize notifications on the lockscreen and notifications to mere symbols, and one I will go into detail about.

Blocking mode > Do not disturb. IN blocking mode you could change your white list to any contact. In DND, you can only whitelist your favorites. Under most circumstances, this is fine, but when you work shift work, and you sleep when your boss is awake, this means I have to make my boss a favorite and I dont want to see his name pop up under favorites every time. Who needs that aggravation? Seriously, who thought favorites only was a great idea?

The only thing I liked was the new icons, but I could have gotten them through a download..... :(

I like the lock feature of recognising where I am and so I don't like to unlock the phone.
Dislike the colors surely an option to have a dark theme would make a big difference to the battery. I'm getting maybe 20 percent less battery now...
