Has anyone else noted that their main button underneath the screen on front is losing its 'click'? Mine is sort of squishy now and there is almost no 'click' feel when pushing it so that I know I have. Am sure it will be a warranty-covered item but hate to go through fully restoring all the settings on my Note 4 (but also not willing to root and Titanium etc.) Juts wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Given that my USB connector is kind of losse-fitting now too it might be time for a refurb replacement from VZW....

Can't say I've experienced that on any smartphone I've ever owned. Since you mention the usb port being a little loose, I'm wondering if you ever dropped it and it landed flush on the bottom of the phone. Seems odd that 2 components so close to each other would both have problems like that. I'd definitely call Samsung or your carrier while it's still under warranty.

As a work around, you could enable the Samsung Side key panel in the settings (search settings for "side" ). This will provide a soft key home button as well as some others.

I've found that this does not work in landscape mode (WHY SAMSUNG, WHY?!) so you could also install one of many soft key apps in the Play Store. Here's one that puts a persistent notification in the notification tray that you click on to send you home.

You might also want to consider an off button widget too. I put on on every home screen in the same spot. I figure I could cut the amount of times I push they power button in about half if I use this to turn it off every time.

Thanks for the replies. Phone had never been dropped and is in perfect and pristine shape. It had lived in a Seidio case from day one.
The USB port was growing slightly loose well before the home key got mushy. Verizon offered to warranty replace it for that but it isn't that loose so I just deal with it. The only time it really bugs me is if the battery is very low and I want to lie in bed with the charger connected and read the phone and use it. As I move the phone around it constantly changes charging and then not charging and then charging and not charging it makes a beep noise every time it goes on and off charge which is annoying.

The hard part with warranty replacements is that they generally are not new phones but refurbished or short term use (ie returned within 14 days).

I spent more than an hour on the phone with Tier 1 then Tier 2 support at Verizon Wireless today. They understood that my Home button no longer clicks or has any tactile feedback. They determined that Verizon will NOT cover that under warranty. The Tier 2 tech explained that my button 'kind of works' and that is enough for them....if it fully failed and didn't actuate the Home Screen then I'd get a refurb replacement but having it go mushy and lose its springiness and 'click' or any tactile feedback if just too bad and not covered. (Mind you I am under warranty and pay their full tech protection and insurance on all my devices)
They offered me the opportunity to send it to Samsung. I called Samsung and the rep seemed surprised Verizon wouldn't fix it..she said Samsung certainly will fix it. I send it to them by 2 day shipping. They fix it in 5 to 7 business days and then send it back to me by 2 day shipping. That's 2 + 5+ 2 non-business weekend days + 2 day return= 11 days without a phone.
The only other option is I could travel 109 miles (she looked up how long the drive would be) to NYC and go to a Samsung Service Center and they would fix it in a matter of hours 'probably'.

    Kind of stunned by this.

Great customer service there Verizon! Makes you wonder if paying for phone insurance is really worth it. On top of that, there is a big deductible to pay to get a replacement.

I got a replacement about a week ago, only slight concern I have with it is the power button feeling not quite as firm as the volume buttons when being pressed,it's just as clicky just not as firm, can't remember if my original was like that or not, suppose maybe I inspecting this phone a little to thoroughly.
