I chose to set a screenlock (pattern) on my new Note 4, but I don't like it, so I tried to remove it, but thats not easy... Chatted with Samsung Norway, and they said that there might be an app on my phone that requires higher security, so it won't let me remove the lock. (But they had no idea which one..) Anybody?

I need help with the same thing. I set up a screenlock with fingerprint, and Smart Lock. That was fine, until Smart Lock stopped recognizing that I was home. I was able to change to a pattern lock, but I'd like to choose none, not it's greyed out. (I'm on Lollipop.)

    Thanks so much.

tituswife; It's exactly the same on my phone, "no security" and "none" is greyed out... Let's hope somebody knows what to do!

You have to go under security in the settings and clear credentials.

Ah, yes. Now I remember having to do that when I wanted to disable the fingerprint scanner.

Go to settings and then click security. Scroll down until you see credential storage. Under that it says clear credentials. Click that. I don't know how to explain it in Norwegian. Lol
