Unlocking the Note 4

I am traveling to a country where it is very cheap to unlock a cell phone.. Is there any reason I shouldn't unlock my AT&T Note 4 and use a local sim card while there???
Are there any problems I could have by doing so, or any when I put my AT&T card back in after returning to the US?? Appreciate any advice..

I thought I read somewhere that ATT was already factory unlocked. I might be wrong though. Hopefully someone who can clarify will come along soon.

AT&T isn't factory unlocked, but Verizon is thanks to a settlement. I don't see where you would have any problems if you unlock your phone.

Might be worth contacting ATT themselves for unlocking.

I did, they will not unlock while under service contract.. No problem after contract has been met.. I've unlocked several AT&T phones upon completing my contracts..
