Possible power button issue

This doesn't happen all the time, but when i go to press the power button to wake my phone, there is a 2-3 second delay between me pressing the power button and the screen turning on.

Try taking out the battery and starting it up again. It just could be something running in the back round affecting the phone speed.

I did that and also cleared the cache partition. Will see if that helps.
