One of the hardest things to get right is a waterfall. Almost inevitably, in bright light there will be no detail in the water because it will be overexposed.
Of course with cameras that have manual shutter control people often slow down the speed so the flow of the water will look smoother and more arty.
We have little control with our phone cameras.
Yesterday, I decided to use -2 exposure compensation to capture Whitewater Falls, in the Nantahala National Forest, near Cashiers, North Carolina, and was very pleased with how this image came out.
The image WAS tweaked with Photoshop.
