From looking at your last screen shot it says applications is holding 14 gigs. Have you checked your apps to see if one is sucking up storage? Because that's a lot. The most storage an app uses on my phone is like 300 or 400 mb

Your application data shouldn't be that much. This is mine and I have some pretty heavy duty apps that are big in mb

Thats precisely the point,, adding up the space used up by the apps gives off a number nowhere near 14 GB !

Check for yourself ! it doesnt make any sense ! there are at least 6 gb missing in "ghost space"

That's a very handy app to find where you can quickly figure out what is taking a lot of space and delete it on the spot.

Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome. I look at it every so often to look for surprises (e.g., Downloader using 1.5GB of cache).

thank you for your help , but why would this appear as "ghost" inaccesible space and why does it keep on growing daily with no way for me to delete it ?

Maybe check thumbdata files/folders in the DCIM folder of device storage. Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago on a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 and those files were the culprit.
