Is it ok to disable Google Play music?

Guys I need some help, Is it okay to disable an application like google play music.. coz I use to play other music player and not this and its bother to me coz its alway active application in my back ground..

Yah, no problem. This is just part of Google bloat. You can disable Google music, newstand, books, movies, and games. If you don't use it, turn it off.

Should only have to clear the defaults in GPM under settings/application manager and then when you open your music player it will ask if you want to make it your default. Still learning the moves of the N4, but it should be something like that.
