    Hi all,,

Those of you that have received the 5.1.1 update can you confirm how big the file was.
am running lolli 5.0.1 and just got an update that am downloading now. But the file size is 650mb and am worried that it might be filled with Samsung junk.

I have the international version with a minimum bloat on it at the moment...5.1.1 Software update...-uploadfromtaptalk1441481286128.jpg

So I decided to install the update and it's way better than 5.0.1. Phone is snappier or so it looks. The recent app menu launch a tick faster now. The jury is still out for the battery performance.
So if you are like me and was not to impress with 5.0.1, then this 5.1.1 is what you need.

I'm not downloading the update, I have disabled it. On 5.0.1 my phone is fast, battery excellent. Don't see the need for it.

No 5.1.1 available yet on AT&T. Still using 5.0.1.

Can't understand why everyone wants it so badly. Lollipop has to be one of the worst Android OS ever. It literally crippled my phone, so I went back to KitKat and I'm more than happy with it. I am sure 5.1.1 is an improvement compared to previous versions of LP but it will never be as stable as KK, that's probably why Google abandoned it and released M instead. But each to their own I suppose.

I personally disagree, Lollipop is my favourite Android OS yet. It runs perfect on my Note 4.

I've not had any problems whatsoever.

It was 640 something MB on Sprint iirc. Was a good upgrade, 5.0.1 was a buggy mess on my phone...5.1.1 fixes everything...to be fair...I did do a facotry data reset immediately.

I wish you people could make up your mind... some say Lollipop 5.1.1 is worse ever, some say best ever.
    How is this helping anyone???
Different people, different priorities, different experiences. Even for a single person, the experience between different OEM builds based on Android will differ if they have multiple devices.

5.0.x was somewhere between bad and terrible on every device I've loaded it on. Nexus 7, Moto X 2014, Note 4, Galaxy S5. Across the board problems that were mitigated in all cases but not solved by a factory reset, which is a pain in the tuckus.

5.1.x has been pretty good on the couple of devices that have received it so far. At least on par with KitKat in my limited experience.

Maybe because it our true experiences? Would you rather people lie and make things up?

Yes I think 5.1.1 is good enough. Have been using it now for a few days and it's way better than 5.0.1. It just perform better in terms of fluidity.
That being said my battery life is not as good though. Am getting about 1 hour less. At the moment am averaging 5 hours of SOT. I'll keep an eye on it and if it's not better might end up doing a factory reset ( which I didn't do after the update).
