Note 4 locked due to abnormal reset

I have a Note 4 I bought on eBay. Successfully activated it and used it for months. Decided to sell it - working perfectly. I did a factory reset.

Now when trying to set up, it says that it is locked due to an abnormal reset. I have signed in and removed my Samsung account in settings, and I've also gone to Samsung.com and deleted the device from my account. I have done a factory reset again several times through either the settings or by using the Vol down, power and home buttons. Every time I boot, it gives me the locked message. How do I get it unlocked??

Well, it looks like you tried what you should. Did you wipe the cache partition while you were in recovery? You might try that and then do the factory reset again (in recovery). If that doesn't work then you might want to take it to your carrier to see if they can reset it for you.
