Hi all. I have used Portable WiFi Hotspot(Core Technology) version 1.0.8 on my Verizon Note 2 for almost 3 years without any issues. I picked up a Verizon Note 4 a week ago and installed Portable WiFi Hotspot version 1.3.8 and cannot get it to work. Every time I attempt to turn on, hotspot it says it failed. I also installed the older 1.0.8 on the Note 4 with the same results. I paid retail for the Note 4 since I need to keep unlimited data.
Any one have success with Portable WiFi Hotspot on Verizon Note 4?

Verizon might be blocking it, because apps like that take away revenue from the carrier (since you're not paying for their hotspot feature).

Hotspot was simply part of settings in my Verizon Note 4. No need to install an app. Perhaps that's your problem.

Thank guys. I installed FoxFi free and so far it is working. I will probably get the paid version since nothing else seems work. Verizon has plenty of my money and I have have no problems enjoying my unlimited data.
