Pattern Unlock Lag?

Since Android Pay requires a lock screen I chose pattern unlock. When I put in my pattern it takes about 5 seconds for the screen to unlock. I shut the phone off and cleared cache and that fixes it but for less than a day. Does this happen to anyone else and is there a fix?

I always use a pin lock screen and since day 1 i noticed a slight lag after i tap OK on the screen.

Im using a N910T3 with 5.1.1 stock TMO if that helps any.

Care to elaborate why? is it personal or is there a security flaw or actual reason your not wanting to use it?

It's new and in beta stage . Not trusting it yet.
