99% of my call's are dropping / cutting out.

First, I want to say I love my new Note 4. But there's clearly a problem; a very annoying one. I just got my phone and noticed it first day. It's not dropping calls but every call is cutting out for about 6-7 seconds, like being muted. There's literally only been a few conversations that have'nt cut out. Happens multiple times per call too. And I'm stationary; not moving around. Reported it to my provider and they reset the phone two days ago but it hasn't helped. Knowledgeable input appreciated...

Defective phone...send it back. By the way, what carrier?

Yes, phone could be bad. I'd take it in and have the carrier look at the SIM card too. Bad SIM could also cause problems.

Do the problematic calls happen in one location, or at various locations around your city or area?

As H3 noted, if the phone is bad, the carrier should be able to exchange for a new one.
