Verizon voice mail problem

When I log into voice mail, the screen goes black while I am entering my password (after two characters), causing the app to not recognize it
(I had thought is being caused by my case, but I replicated the problem with the case off...
I have not had this problem, however, when the speaker is on (but is not desirable to have to log into voice mail this way)
Anyone else have a similar experience?

I have never had this problem with Verizon voicemail. But with the visual voicemail when I delete the VM's they will show back up when a new VM is left on the phone? The only way to "delete" is the 90's way of listening to them when holding the #1. I know 1st world problems
