So I've bought a Note 5 a few weeks ago. I didn't want to as I was protesting the removal of the battery and SD card options. Going back and forth to my Note 4 I notice some lag. So I thought I would try something. I removed some of the widgets on my home screen and I notice that the lag was gone. Still early to be conclusive but I was wondering if that is the main reason for it. I' haven't restored to factory setting or anything so it's been used over a year this way.

    Anyone else try that?

Widgets definitely consume resources, especially if they're dynamic widgets that are either constantly updating or have fancy animations. Also, the Note 5's OS itself is a lot snappier than the Note 4 (I've used both).
