So this past week or so my phone has been taking maybe a good 5 seconds or more for the screen to come on when I press the power or the home button. I couldn't figure out what the issue was, and did a pile of searches. I did find one thread on a forum (I forget which one) where somebody said they had a similar issue but it stopped when they removed their microSD card from their N4. I thought about this and I remember twice in the recent past my phone has shown a notification that my SD card was unexpectedly been removed, but it never ever was. I obviously then removed my SD card from my phone and it has been perfect ever since! Clearly if your SD card is somehow not working or working improperly it may cause unexpected issues with your phone that you may not think are related at all.

I just figured I would share this because I saw a lot of questions in my searching about this issue, but didn't find many answers so it may be of some help to somebody else too!

Thanks for the tip! Yes, a corrupt or failing SD card can cause a variety of issues.
