Agreed...a lot of money went into a phone that gives us issues, or to be forgotten. Threads like this make it harder for VZW to forget.

Yeah i agree, cause I'm not upgrading to the note 5 just because it has a newer version of Android on it

Based on this tweet from a Verizon public relations employee, I doubt we'll see Android 6.0 on our Note 4. But, he did say, "soon we'll see 5.1.1".

Nothing definitive on what "soon" means...Christmas? Easter? ...next Christmas? :-(
The Note 4 and the Note Edge (the phone I have) has already been confirmed for Late Jan/Feb 2016. Now whether it trickles down to the carrier level by then, you'll have to ask the carriers. A lot of times, the tech support for Verizon doesn't really know the status of timelines for updates, just the issues with phones.

Can you find a link to the Jan/Feb 2016 confirmed date for MM 6.0? Would love to see it.

I should add that it's "alleged" that this roadmap is an official leak. But all I have read is pointing to having validity.

Well I do see the 910H on there for Note 4 users....all this means is that VZW will be last as usual. Or sometime in 2017 for delivery. I would be surprised if we (VZW Note 4 users) see it before summer 2016.

As am I. I've never tried At&t, but I'm not sure I'd want to. Sprint sucked the last time I had it MANY years ago. And T-Mobile didn't work for a relative years ago. I'm just saying that complaining will only work if thousands or millions of us all complain and even then I'm not sure it'd do any good.

If Verizon wouldn't insist on installing their bloatware it would be more cost efficient for them to prepare the updates from Samsung for pushing out to customers.

VZW has excellent cellular coverage. What they lack is the ability to take care of its existing customers. I have had those other providers; some have great customer service but really poor cell coverage. Which is why I stay with VZW....I can deal with poor customer service is I have nothing to complain about...hence no reason to call customer service. Until the part that they pushed an update claiming it is better only to find out it wasn't.

I will now complain until I get what I paid $800 for...and that's a phone that works as advertised.

Without a doubt, Verizon has awesome service, I know because I pay a premium for it. Do I wish for an update, heck yes I do. Am I surprise it hasn't arrived, not one bit. We know the game Verizon plays every year with us. I remember finally getting the lollipop update on my note 3 after waiting 5 month after all the other carriers pushed it. Ether way, we won't be receiving it anytime soon. I'm not even holding my breath for 6.0. I'll be glad to get a stable version of 5.1. For the time being, I suggest heading over to XDA forums and download the debloater tool and remover all the bloatware. You'll be glad you did. Till then, the waiting game.

I have had that debloater tool since owning this Note 4. You're right, it's the best thing ever. But if you're not familiar with it and click the wrong button ... you have just created a brick. Debloater is not for the faint at heart. Take caution with it.

Does the debloater tool require root?

No it does not require you to root your Note 4. VZW Note 4 can not be permanently rooted anyway....at least not yet.

It does require you to turn on developer options then allow USB debugging. As stated before, use caution when messing with the debloater tool. There are functions that can cause serious damage to your Note 4 .
