Messaging App with Read Receipt

I'm looking for a messaging app that will allow me to get a read receipt when a message either SMS or MMS is read. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, but that requires the same app on both sides. That won't work for me.!!

Every app with read receipts requires both people to have the same 3rd part app since sms doesn't have that feature. Even on iMessage you don't get a confirmation when you text an android user because then the app is sending an sms instead of an iMessage.

Im actually looking for same thing. But I gotta add Babble that youre not exactly correct. It really depends on the phone. I have an Alcatel Fierce1 & I get read reports but on group messages only. I know others whose phone gets them. Since mine doesnt for individuals texts id like an app that provides them as well

Some phones actually have a Read feature. Mine has it but for group messages inly

This thread is quite old but i thought id point out thar the Samsung Galaxy s8 / Note 8 default messaging app now has read receipts.
