Samsung Note 4 vibrates when I pick it up, why?

Samsung Note 4 vibrate

I notice sometimes when I pick up my Note 4 by the sides it vibrates briefly. What is the reason for this? Some kind of setting to turn that off?

Do you happen to have Smart Alert enabled? Settings > Motions and gestures > Smart Alert.

It's supposed to vibrate the phone when you pick it up if you have missed calls and messages.
