New Battery Charging Issues

My OEM battery decided to die so I bought a new battery (one of the anker ones from amazon)

When I got it, it was at 80% charge and worked quite sufficient throughout the day, however when I started to charge, it started to act really weird

The charge cycle is literally a step function. it would be 'charging' but there would be no difference in % battery left, and then it would suddenly increase in a short time and then go back to being 'flat'

Anybody have any suggestions? I even reset my phone but no go.

Weird! Not sure what's going on, but if you determine it's a battery problem, I've heard Anker is pretty decent about standing behind their products. You might contact them as a heads up. Other than that, I have no ideas.
