Backed up phone prior to update, after noticed extreme battery drain. Did factory reset and reinstall (using Samsung Smart switch) still having issues. Both Samsung & verizon blame it on me & my apps... when the only things install the past month was their forced update. Appreciate any input.

Seems like Mr battery may be a little iffy too but Doze works great at night when leaving phone off charge. It'll go down line only 1 or 2 percent in like 9 hours. However, battery stains fair when on

Can you post a screenie like this? What does your Awake time look like? Ideally, it shouldn't be too much more than your Screen time if you aren't playing any music. If you have a huge line of Awake time and very few slivers of Screen, it indeed could be something rogue.

Anywho, I had the same issue a few weeks ago. Even though WhatsApp never showed up high in any battery apps, it would not let my phone fall asleep. Once I removed it, the phone now falls asleep within seconds, instead of minutes.

Also running it down to 0, then back up to 100 helped a bit too.

This is the other screen. I have about 34 minutes of SOT which is fine considered how much idle / standby time I'm getting.

I know you said you don't have any apps, but try running down to 0 and back to full if you haven't already.

86% 4 days.... my 81%? No what's app. Cannot determine what is using battery but extremely annoyed at verizon & samsung solutions. .. Samsung - send us your phone for a week (with everything logged in as is). Verizon run safe mode then 1 app at a time.... (should take me a couple weeks to determine what their update broke!)

It all depends on usage. On average I can pull 1 - 2 days of use. I have Facebook, Instagram and Twitter logged in, but I'm not always actively using them. If I use my phone as a phone (texting, phone calls, occasional Web search, I can pull 3 days.)

Speaking of use I see Verizon Cloud pulling up as a service that's taking battery. If you actually use this service I won't advise turning it off; however, it's been a known issue that the Verizon and Google backup services chew threw battery life.

Just for the sake of testing just toggle them off for a while and see if that helps. Also, try running the battery to 0 then let it come up to full. That has helped me in the past.

Doze may seem great but what good is a phone if you aren't using it? I used my fully charged phone this morning to look at FB for 20 minutes. By the time I put it down it was down to 90% Said it would be 0% by 10 am. And it was then 7 am.
