I just bought this new battery on Ebay, see pic. Is it legit? Unlike other Samsung phones, I can't find "battery capacity" under "About Phone" to prove that it's indeed 5470mAh.

Yikes. I just took it out. May I ask why they're not recommended? I am waiting to hear back from the seller to return them.

Add: so just to make sure, there's no "battery capacity" on the Note 4 like the other Galaxy phones, correct? I just want to see if those 2 batteries are indeed 5470 mAh, as advertised.

The capacity of a stock Note 4 battery is about 3200 mAh. While battery technology has improved a little over the years, I can assure you that if anyone could actually fit ~5500 mAh in a single-pack battery for the Note 4, there is no way on this earth they would be selling it for under $30 on eBay. That would be a GIANT leap forward in battery density. The kind you would see on the news.

So, umm, the batteries might be perfectly fine, as 3200 mAh (probably somewhat less) batteries. Might being the operative term here. Anyone who lies that badly about the capacity of their battery probably gives about the same attention to build quality as they do to telling the truth about their product (namely: none at all). I wouldn't put those things in MY phone, for sure.

You can get Ankers for like half that money, and Anker makes a solidly good battery that makes realistic claims about their battery capacity.
