Not as much network coverage recently.

For the past 2 weeks or so, I haven't been getting network coverage in places I normally do. I see either the circle with the cross icon, indicating no coverage. Or I see bars, but no "4G LTE".

I have AT&T.

Any ideas why?

No. Go into an AT&T store (a company store, not an associate store) in that area and ask them. It could be a tower failure (are you in the south? did you get hit by the recent storms?)

Thanks. I was worried it could be because my phone is an older model relative to what is out there.

I'll go a store.

I'm in California, so not in the South nor affected by storms.

I went to the AT&T Store.

They said there were 3 possibilities:

1) Reset network settings.

2) Change SIM card.

3) Antennas on phone have degraded and it's time for a new phone.

We tried resetting network settings.

I'll see if this makes a difference.

If not, I'll try option 2.

However, resetting the network settings lead to another problem. I couldn't enable Wi Fi.

This caused a day of trouble shooting, and multiple calls to tech support.

The solution ended up being ANOTHER reset of network settings.

Some people are having a hard time hearing me when I'm calling from home, and others aren't.

I don't know what to think. Is it still a phone issue, antenna issue, or SIM card issue?
