    Hi Members,

    Hope you'd be doing well.

    I came across a very strange issue with my secondary phone i.e. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C having official rom with latest OTA update i.e. Android Nougat 7.0, that phone needs reset every week. On the sixth day of reset, phone start lagging in apps and hang / freeze often and on the seventh day it don't even work. The only way is to reset phone using Samsung Odin to reinstall official rom. Once the phone is reinstalled with the fresh rom, it works like a charm but the cycle for reset starts from 5th or 6th day and then reset is the only way out.

    I'll appreciate to have input from senior members on this that what are the possible reasons and how can it be sorted out. I tried rom from multiple platforms, but issue persist.

    @B. Diddy Yes, Phone lags in Safe Mode as well.

    I'd guess that something on the motherboard is failing. Memory chips have a finite read/write lifespan, so maybe one of the chips is on its last legs.

    @B. Diddy may be. But if such is the case, then why it's working absolutely fine after being reset? My observations are same as yours, something related to hardware is falling-out, but how to confirm that so right repair shall be processed.

    Can you possibly test an older ROM? If the same thing happens it may not be a software issue.
