Well remmeber its using Exynos, which uses a lot less energy than Qualcomm processors, so even if the battery is smaller, it can possible last longer than the Note 4
A lot of folks said the same thing on the S6 and that didn't quite pan out as many had hoped. I just don't understand the need to go as thin as possible on the design at the expense of the battery.

I agree with the fact that it's stupid to sacrifice battery for a thin phone, why would I want a paper thin phone?

However, the S6 is capable of getting 5-6 hours of screen time on a 2300mah battery? That's saying something about the Exynos processor

Eh, 5-6 hrs screen time on 2550 mah is pretty good considering some phones cant even get that much with higher batteries. Then again, it all depends on how the phone is managed

For several weeks various sources have asserted that the forthcoming Galaxy Note 5 will have a 3000 mA battery. Today I was so pleased to read at Phone Arena of it sporting instead an impressive 4100 mA battery. Has anybody further news?

At this point, no one knows... It's funny how the media can sway people in one direction or the other though... I hope it's 4100mah

4100 would be huge given the non removable battery, I'd decided to take a pass because of that but this could be enough to make me reconsider.

Li-Po battery..... but what about Li-Ion vs Li- Po which one is betteR?
same thing, li-po is li-ion in polymer arrangement. Their underlying mechanism of generating power is exactly the same.

I posted this link in the "Removable battery" thread and someone else posted in the "What size battery" thread and nobody even commented on it which I'm surprised but here we go. According to this website that's pretty reliable listing specs for all phones has the Note 5 listed with a 4,100mAh battery with 32, 64, and 128GB versions. Here's the link:

I don't consider anything "confirmed" unless it came from Samsung. Otherwise it is just a rumor.

I would guess since they're still saying "Unofficial Specs" they changed it due to some new information they received.

I don't care for Phone Arena as a source. I stopped checking that site for most things as I've seen incorrect information on existing devices there. I can only imagine how accurate they would be on devices that don't exist yet.

Battery specs keep switching from 3000mah to 4100mah
Processor keeps switching from Exynos 7400 to Exynos 7420

...gotta hand it to Samsung for causing so much conflicting information with the specs

i thought the processors keep bouncing from 7420 and 7422 with the all on one chip, thus allowing for the higher capacity battery everyone keeps wishing for.

Note5 will have a 3000mAh battery. Edge+ will have the same internal specs as well. Minus the S-Pen of course. No SD slot and no push to eject. Only the little lip of the pen will be used to pull out the S-pen.
