I know Verizon has a bug a battery life, but I'm on AT&T Note 5 if it makes any difference to anyone else.

Did you try a factory reset, i know no one wants to do that but i have heard it fixes battery life issues.

What settings do you have in location and do you have the 4G LTE Enhanced services off?

I have 4 notes 5 on AT&T all have very good battery life. I have nothing disabled. You don't need to waste your time doing so. If the phone has bad battery something is wrong with the phone. I tested two phones one with disabled bloat and one without it. The difference wasn't more than a percent or two. The phone should work good out the box. I had an issue with one after a month and a factory reset fixed that.

It won't do anything to turn that stuff off. You don't need to.

It depends on what you do with the phone. What apps and so on...

For me, I should get what you get. I use my phone a lot but don't necessarily use power draining apps.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've been on the charger for the last 20 mins, surfing Chrome, and have gone from 97% to 94%.... yes. I'm losing battery while plugged in. P.O.S.

For me I use Words With Friends prominently since I got the Note 5 last week, and also Chess Time. I have Facebook notifications going, I surf online, and I have been installing gear 2 faces lately as i surf and find what I like. My note 5 seems to have a battery drain on it. It is almost as if it drains 2 to 3 X's as fast. I'm lucky to get 9 hours on a full charge. I normally charge it at night. In the morning I'm on the go around 5:00am and by 1pm I'm down to around high teens for percentage. The battery for me does not do well at all. I'm trying to comb this thread to find out if I may have a bad one or I missing something drastically.

So, once again I tried Ruben's amazing steps to get my battery to last longer, but it's getting frustrating. I disabled the basic apps from application manager and the rest used Package Disabled Pro . I was at 100% at 8:30 this morning, then by say 11 I was at 88%.. draining was 6.4%h , I think. I had a bunch of recent apps still open, Some app was keeping the phone awake , as the percentage was held at 1%. Phone is NOT rooted so I can't use the Wake app. By 3 pm I think I was at 43%. I had to plug in as I was running errands. My cell signal was 3 bars. I use Chrome a LOT because it syncs my recent tabs with my other devices (tablet, pc). I can't live without it. Now, I know that Chrome uses a LOT of battery, but if there is any other browser that allows syncing to recent tabs, I'm all for it. AS LONG as it decreases the battery drain.

Here are some screenshots to hopefully diagnose the problem.

Wiping cache doesn't help. I really don't want to factory reset. I Love this Note 5 cause I use the S pen all the time. Hate Iphones, don't want to go Windows, perhaps BlackBerry Priv . I'll miss the S pen though.Note 5 Battery life thread-screenshot_2015-12-28-18-39-25.jpg

So I am debating on whether to call AT&T and get a warranty replacement for my Note 5 because of battery life issues. But I am concerned about getting a fresh phone with the same issue.

Then I have to set it all up again from scratch, and be using a refurbished unit. So I'm not sure.

But after reading this insanely long thread we are all in here, I have come to the conclusion, that outside of a select few, the rest of us are all having the same basic issue. Bad battery life. It seems that it mostly stems from WiFi being ON, or in Verizon's case, cell standby issues.

I am certain that Samsung totally has incompetent programmers. You would think that Samsung could afford better.

Lately the iPhone 6S+ is starting to look a tad better. I just don't know.
