So I was using Outlook for email as well as Gmail. During my battery issues I decided to go with just Gmail and I deleted outlook. I'm wondering if anyone knows if having two different email apps would hurt battery at all.

I prefer Outlook for all the extra features it offers. Any idea of an impact on that?

I just dont get why your backing up the note 5 so much like anything we post about it being bad you always dont agree.....We dont use the same apps and settings as you so you cant keep saying the note 5 battery is good and i can link you to about 8 reviews i watched and they state the battery isnt that great and is a downside of the phone.
I'm not going to lie about results I get.

Also, as I said, I checked a lot on this phone before it was released and the testing that was done. Just because you didn't see all that doesn't mean it wasn't there.

I can link you to just as many, that think it is just as good and just as many that think it is worse, on here.

I've run both before and not had noticeable issues.. But I don't have a Verizon variant. I'm not having the WiFi standby increase and I also am not dealing with a low signal.

This is a really light day at home with a good signal. Even with light use my work apps still draw quite a bit of the power.

    Wifi off all day

    He doesn't use WiFi.

Again, I think GSam reports the WiFi just when the toggle is turned on. Mine goes to sleep and GSam reports the WiFi as always on.

You don't have to install anything else. Just check what you want disabled.

Looks to me like it's mostly screen on doing the consuming. Not the system.

27% drain in 3 hours and only 48 minutes screen time isn't that good. Something is draining it

Try using only on 4g/3g. Even it used to drain very fast over wifi to me. Once i switch to use only 4G its giving better life.

Ok, final with using my Note 4 for two days and picking up my Note 5 a few times, almost 4 total hours of use. I still have about 5-7 hours left of battery, but am going to go ahead and charge it.

WiFi and location on the entire time and WiFi to never stay on while sleeping. I'm still running ShutApp.

I am on Verizon and am seeing same stuff - Very good battery on 4G LTE but horrible battery life on WiFi. This needs to be fixed...as just turning off WiFi is not an option for lot of people - they are on tiered data.

I don't have Verizon, I have T-Mobile, can you post screenshots of the Wifi Settings Advance Settings options, and any other screen related to VoLTE or Advance calling or anything similar? I want to see those menus to see if we can find a good combination of settings until Verizon can take care of any issues they may have related to wifi usage.
