Mine so far. I completely reinstalled the note 5 software using smartswitch. Same apps as before but the battery is much better.

For some reason I have no cell standby drain.

I have also yet to enable Google now.

Here is GSAM, and as you can see the percent used by cell radio is MUCH less than before. I really wish I knew what happened between before and the new install. I've encountered this with the iPhone as well, reinstalling iOS from a new download changed the behavior of subsequent installs. This is not scientific at all, just observation

How is this? Screen on time is at 2 hours.

Wanted to ask about gsam battery pro is it suppose to run in background 24/7? Sometimes it gets annoying in notification area. It would often give me very different stats from what the system is showing.
When infirst installed it all stats under system battery dissapeared

Everyone in these forums that said they switched from the 6+ says the opposite. The 6+ battery last longer. I'll take real world use over benchmark scores anyday.

yeah. I was using the 6+ and the battery life was way better than the Note 5.

It seems android gives more freedom to apps than iOS. In iOS if you select that apps give absolutely no notifications you'll get no notifications. On android however that is not the case. Also, Google is not skilled in keeping their system processes under check hence Google services going out of wack.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but Phonearena has done a comparison of the Note 5 vs IPhone 6 +.

Here's their finding on battery life/recharging times....

Interesting article, by the way.....

Those features are killing the battery. But I'm gonna have to be cool with that. Cause those features are dope.

From everything I have heard/seen, I believe the iPhone 6+ has better battery when both phones do nothing for a long time. All the stats I've seen posted (including going over to Apple forums) make it seem like the Note 5 will outlast the 6+ if you start both at 100, keep the screen on and make them do stuff until down to 0. This obviously isn't how most of us use our phones, so the 6+ battery is out lasting Samsung's offerings in real world battery usage.

Side note, I have used Doze for 2 days and believe I am seeing significant improvement. I'm at 81 now and about to go to sleep. I'll post the overnight Stat in the AM.

Just want to let everyone know that I had the problem of high cell standby drain and all I did everything that was suggested here. One thing i found out from an old S6 thread was VoLTE setting. Once i went into the phone app and switched that off, idle drain pretty much disappears. I have high hope that tomorrow this phone will last more than 13 hours.

Here's my screen on time today. 5.5 hours with 27% battery life left. Best screen on time I've ever had.

Ok, my battery is finally settling down. The first 4-5 hours I was in pretty bad signal area, no data signal at all. After that, phone was doing nothing and I lost very little.
