So I've been using Shutapp now for last month and love it.

Yesterday for some reason it wouldn't shut the apps like it had been by tapping the bubble. So I restarted phone and tried again and suddenly there were 5 apps it refused to close.

I did a cache clean and tried again and some result.

I then removed the app, reinstalled, and tried again. No dice!!

Now I could have just deleted it and left it deleted but noticed my phone was hot and knew apps that I didn't want open were running now with no way for me to stop them easily.

So I actually did an entire factory reset which I HATE DOING because I then I have to configure my phone all over again.

Anyone else run into an issue like this with Shutapp?

My ShutApp has been working just fine.

This is the best I've ever gotten.. Battery was all the way down but I managed to squeeze every bit of life it had left into my screen on time. But point is I can get through the day and then some. For the past couple of days I can do over 5 hours easily.

Location on (no location history) , WiFi on, bunch of packages disabled. I use Google Now. Made about 50 mins worth off calls. Only thing off is sync right now because I'm home and I use Tasker to disable it on the weekends since I have laptops that can provide updates if I need it. I have Bluetooth off (Tasker turns it on when I leave home).

No ShutApp or anything like that. No Facebook. Lots of Instagram, Telegram, hangouts messages. Some YouTube, lots of Tapatalk, Reddit, Twitter, Google+.

Most of my battery loss honestly came from standby. I'm losing more than I should overnight.

I'm using an AT&T Note but with Cricket service.

Well after un-installing CM Security , I charged the phone and then put it on airplane mode last night. I'm doing this because the night before I woke up to a noise outside and looked at my phone, it had went from 100% after 12 am to 90% by 5 am. So last night put it in airplane mode and lost 2 % over night. Right now it is at 78% with light usage. So, I don't know what else was draining while on cell standby, but I had to charge it after 4pm that afternoon.

I figured out. It's the app called "Ifeng News." I uninstalled it and the battery life now is 1day8hours. I assume your problem is caused by another app because this app is a Chinese news app. But I'm sure it is some certain app causing the headache.
Just try install apps one by one. After installing one app, reset GSam, wait for 5 minutes, then if mediasever is not draining your battery, install next app. I know it is painful and time-consuming, but it's totally worth it.

Haven't been getting as great battery life in the last couple days. Not quite sure why. I'm at 74% after unplugging 4 hours and 40 minutes ago. Been at home and on wifi all day only really texting. Compare it to driving from home to work for 40 minutes and using Spotify on the drive, 4 hours and 40 minutes into my time at work I'm usually at about 80-85% left. GSam is reading me at around 5.7% per hour when again, I've been around 3% to 4% per hour thus far under my regular use and expectations.

Signal is fine and I haven't changed any settings.

Google Play Services is now showing up in the list of stuff on the main battery page in the options and that usually doesn't happen. How could I tell what specifically within Google Play is doing this? Because I presume that's it. Apps haven't been updating either because I don't see an icon with apps recently updated or any active downloading.

I want to make you aware that CERTAIN THEMES DRAIN BATTERY FASTER THAN OTHERS...this I have notices
I'm not sure if its because of the colors or effects some of the themes, use, but the "heavier" themes will drain battery quicker than "lighter" ones

No complaints at all about the battery on this thing. Now I'll throw it on the charger and be back to 100% in about an hour...

Is my battery life normal? Or is my battery life terrible?

It feels like I'm losing a lot juice pretty fast. Or is it because I'm a heavy user and doesn't realize that =P

Your overall battery life is low because you seem to have the phone on immediately after charging lol. You are definitely a heavy user my friend! Lol but 4.5hrs sot isn't bad, it's not great but definitely not bad.

My standby time is horrible. I went from 50% to 15% in 6 hours. I'm on Verizon and didn't have wifi on and getting a pretty good signal. I do have google now on but it still shouldn't drain that fast.
