If you use Gmail app and it is using too much battery...my guess is that u r also using that app for another email provider like Hotmail, yahoo or something. Take that off and it should get much better. Gmail app works great with Gmail.

Using Gmail just for gmail. I'm using the stock email for others.

Why the hell does Facebook use so much battery when I only spend a total of MAYBE 30-40 min Inca day looming at that app?

Don't have their messenger app installed so it's not that.

Shutapp won't shut it

Makes no sense to me. No location for it. No notifications active. No sync active.

Your overall battery life is low because you seem to have the phone on immediately after charging lol. You are definitely a heavy user my friend! Lol but 4.5hrs sot isn't bad, it's not great but definitely not bad.

DEVICE HISTORY (since they got smart)
PHONES: Galaxy Nexus, LG viper, Galaxy s3, HTC Evo 4g, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy s5, LG G-Flex, Galaxy Mega 6.3, Galaxy s6 edge, Galaxy Note 5. TABLETS: Galaxy Note 10.1 gt-n8013, Galaxy tab 3 7.0. Lenovo tab2 A8 50 WATCH: Galaxy gear

If you actually use your phone as a phone not a gaming toy or a battery testing device you're fine. I spend 60-90 min talking on my phone as well as email text and reading articles. I get 4 hours SOT and total battery of 13-15 hours. I don't think that is bad.

Could certain themes use more battery? I can't seem to get more than 3 hours screen on time.

Can't see how that would be the case. Live Wallpapers I get. Themes? If it does can't be enough to make a noticeable difference.

I deleted Facebook App, and set up a Chrome link to facebook.com on my main screen. It gives me what I want for what limited use of facebook I do. Granted Chrome can be a hog- but nowhere near as bad as the FB App itself!

Not sure why yours is doing that, mine isn't.

Both of you try disabling these two in Package Disabler (if you don't have that you might can disable them on the application manager) and see if that helps.
