    Hi guys,

Would just like to get some input from other Note 5 users.

Been using the device now for 2 days and to me it feel like it gets quite hot. Definitely hotter than my OnePlus One. It's not uncomfortably hot, but there's definitely some heat dissipation from the back.

I'm not talking about heavy use or during charging where this kind of thing is expected. Even during normal light use like browsing the back is warmer than the sides.

    Let me hear your experiences.

I've not had any problems with this. My phone hasn't even gotten warm at any point yet. I haven't played any games yet though.

Zero heat for me. My LG G4 would heat up like an oven but not my Note 5.

Hmm. I'll keep monitoring it for the next few days. If it stays bothering me I'll go back to the shop. I remember it got better on the OnePlus One as well after some battery cycles.

Anyone care to do me a favour: install the cpu-z app and look at the temperature readings?

Under light load I'm reading about 40-44° for the CPU.

30° with almost no usage. I'll check throughout the day and post the highest temp.

Well, it also depends on the all around temperature.

yea, here in Las Vegas the last two weeks have been 105º+ daily....in my car I have to cover with a towel...but, my Note 3 was the same way. But, in my house, even on my VU wireless charger, I don't feel any exceptional heat.

Been using mine for a couple hours this morning. I just looked up my CPU temp in AIDA64 and its running around 95 degrees. I switched to to celcius to match yalls numbers and its at 36 degrees.

Yeah, I do live in Hong Kong, so temperatures are typically quite high. But even in nicely air conditioned spaces it gets somewhat warm to the touch. CPU z typically reads between low thirties and mid forties. Probably normal I guess.

Update: went to Samsung service centre and the guy confirmed something was not right. His English was not great but he said the "output was unstable". Whatever that means and I'm not sure what test he performed, it was behind closed doors. Anyway, I have an official report to take to the shop to get a replacement.
