I installed the Skinomi clear matte skin on the back a few days ago. I'm really not a fan of how the back glass feels. It's slippery, attracts fingerprints, and gets slimey.

Personally, installing this has made the phone feel so much better. Plus, if you're going caseless like me, you mostly retain the original look of the phone.

For the most part, I did a decent job installing it. I put too much pressure on some parts when getting the bubbles out and dented the skin (it's wet install). Those are the odd looking spots in the pictures. Otherwise, all the bubbles came out over night. It also comes with clear matte sides and a font screen protector, which I don't plan on ever putting on. I recommend this is you're not a fan of the glass feel!

    Nice... Thanks for sharing.

BTW where did you get it, and how did you get the white sticker off the back without scratching the phone?

I got it from Amazon. Shipped the following day and received a day or two later (wasn't even Amazon prime). That white sticker that comes on the phone comes off with little pressure, nowhere near enough to scratch the phone. It isn't like one of those cheap thin paper sticker that will leave residue or pieces of it behind.

Man that looks sharp! I thought about getting Skinomi, but now I know I'm getting it. I believe that it is self-healing so the marks should go away. Does the screen protector have an exact home button cut-out or is the whole bottom under the home button cut out?

I wouldn't call the home button cutout exact because it seems a but larger than it needs to be, but it does have a small piece for below the home button.

How much grip did this add to the phone? I don't like cases, but this phone is slippery.

It isn't substantial, but it's enough to make a difference. I'd say it has the grippiness of the G4, but without the diamond pattern.

The sticker on the back of the phone comes off pretty easy with a fingernail.

Visibly, it works really well. Looking at it now, I don't really see any. I believe I can feel light oils build up a bit, but not anywhere near as much as the glass back.

That's the one. I didn't put the other pieces on, so I didn't title the thread as such.

Word of advice for anyone with little experience installing wet screen protectors - it can take a good 10 minutes before the curved edges start to adhere. You just have to keep pushing down on the sides and they will eventually stick. Even after it seemed to be sticking, I still took a squeegee card and ran it across the edges every couple minutes for about an hour (even used a hair dryer to quicken the drying. Not sure if that's advisable or not). Also, the back might adhere quicker than you think and you'll end up putting a lot of pressure on the skin to get the bubbles out which leads to imprints.

    Learn from my mistakes....
