Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where is the search field on the Note5? Can the Google toolbar on the homepage be used to search for things on the device (local search)?

All I can see in this regard is the search option within settings, but that doesn't seem to search the entire phone for apps/music etc.

Yes you can use the Google toolbar....when you search for something you will see an option search phone as one of the results in drop down. Click that once and after that by default it will search phone as well.

Thanks for the reply! I can see where local results show up now. It doesn't seem to work for some things like music and things that I can find in Settings. For instance, if I type the name of an album that I have in my music there are no results for it.

Or if I type 'Samsung updates' nothing comes up locally, even though you can find that under 'Settings' > 'Storage' > 'Applications'.
