When using my S Pen to hover over emails...I get a short preview of the email. Nice. But...what I also get are 4 icons as well: reply, set reminder, (un)read, delete. The amazing feature that caught my attention is the 'set reminder' for any email... By selecting this icon I can set a reminder for that email to read/reply in the near future rather than have it get forgotten/lost amongst other emails! Taking productivity to a whole new level for me!
Yes, I switched to the stock app from GMail, because this is a wonderful feature, being able to set reminders so easily. But, two things challenged me. First, all of a sudden my emails starting coming to me as text messages when connected to Bluetooth in my car. Absolutely annoying. Secondly, I am dependent on (a) threaded conversations and (b) those tabbed areas where junk mail and social stiff are split from my mail of interest. So, choices, choices.
It's a feature called Hover and works across Samsung's stock apps and partner apps like News Republic. It also expands dropdowns in the stock browser. Here's a new trick. Drag an e-mail in your inbox down with two fingers and you get a summary and a bunch of options. I love the new stock e-mail client.
You can do this without S Pen, not a S Pen exclusive feature though

On the notification bar, yes, you can do that, but you're not given the same options. If you're using the stock email, hover your Spen over any email. It's pretty cool, but I don't really use the stock email for much.

I like enough to give it a try. The added features you have mentioned are worth enough to use the Samsung stock email app. In addition, I find it easy to use. Thanks
