Hi, I'm purchasing a phone for the first time since my Galaxy S II -- so I'm pretty out of the loop in terms of network requirements, and could use your help -- even partial advice would be great.

1.) Verizon: Is there a Gold-Platinum 64gb Verizon Note 5, which can work in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South Korea and Japan (if possible, China, as well, that'd be great)? Since Verizon doesn't sell the Gold Platinum's itself, can you help me understand what I need to verify to make sure this is possible? I look at fleaBay and the Amazonian and while there seems to be some reliable retailers, they don't verify if the phones will work on Verizon's network & partner networks for those countries.

2.) T-Mobile: I'm also considering T-Mobile, since I heard they may be more friendly in this regard (international travel). Is that true? What network specs would I need for same, but on T-Mobile and its partner networks?

3.) Data Question: I'm located primarily in the U.S. Am I able to use data when I go to those other countries? Or do I need to make some other kind of accommodation? Especially I'm concerned about data in Korea, Japan, and China.

Sorry if these are noob questions, my SII gave me a good run on Sprint; but this setup is totally inadequate for my future needs.

    Thank you,

    GP

Without a doubt a note 5 from Verizon will work in South Korea. Unfortunatly you'll only get 1 band of LTE and 1 freq of evdo but it works. My friends visiting me and he used my daughters iPhone NANO SIM in his note 5. But for real South Korea has free WiFi pretty much everywhere in the city.

I'm not sure on compatibility, but Tmobile has the best international travel options, generally speaking.

I am also interested in getting a Note 5 in gold, but I want to use it with Verizon. Is there a site where I can find out when Verizon will add that color to their offerings of Note 5 phones? I find the Verizon employees themselves aren't very helpful regarding that kind of info.

No site like that exists. Verizon and Samsung employees are all in in the dark when it comes to future offerings.
