I have Do Not Disturb scheduled to turn on every night so I don't get notifications, and have set an exception for Alarms. But this exception doesn't seem to include the Timer function on the clock app and it gets muted, even though since it's something I set manually I should be able to expect it to go off. Is there anyway to get around this?

I've checked on my GS6 Edge and couldn't find an option to add the timer to the exceptions on Do not disturb. Sorry but I don't think is possible at the moment.

It will only allow calls and alarms as an exception, so the workaround is instead of using a countdown timer, set an alarm for that time in the future. i.e. if you're starting a 45 minute timer at 5:00, set the alarm for 5:45 instead.
